The Company of Others Bolsters Business with Acquisition of Dallas Agency expands reach, refines brand, strengthens leadership

Houston-based marketing agency The Company of Others announces the acquisition of ReedMitchell, an agency in Dallas with a focus on strategic branding, shopper marketing and retail activation. In conjunction with the expansion and to unite the agencies, The Company of Others launched a new look including updated branding and a shift in name from “The Company of Others” to “The Company,” with divisions in Houston and Dallas. This shift is not only indicative of the success with current clients over the past few years, but it also allows the agency to refocus its efforts in vital markets with continued and emerging business opportunities.

“We know that proximity matters, and we are excited to unveil the next evolution of our agency with a re-commitment to markets where we’ve had strong partnerships,” said Jose Lozano, chief executive officer, The Company. “Combining forces with ReedMitchell is one example of that re-commitment and a testament to the tremendous growth we’re experiencing. We’ve grown more than 35 percent in 2016 both on the client side and with our staff, with even more growth on the horizon.”

The Company’s new logo and revamped website are reflective of the agency’s mission: to help clients become The Company in their industry.

This mission has already proven successful with some of the agency’s longtime clients in industries such as waste and recycling, home services, aviation and consumer packaged goods.

Growth and New Business Wins

The Company experienced substantial growth in 2016 adding new clients to its roster, such as SunShare, the nation’s largest community solar provider based out of Denver, and Direct Energy Residential Services, one of the largest residential energy retailers in North America, which includes Home Warranty of America. The Company has served as agency of record for the home services companies under the Direct Energy family of brands since 2012, including Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning and Mister Sparky. Most recently, The Company added Classic Party Rentals, the nation’s largest event and tent rental provider, to its client list overseeing marketing services for the brand and its locations across the U.S.

New Leadership

To spearhead The Company Houston division, the agency partnered with industry veteran Mike Albrecht to serve as Managing Director of The Company Houston. With nearly 35 years of experience, Mike brings his wealth of experience in account management and brand development, overseeing new business development and clients in the Houston-focused division. With a combined marketing history of more than 40 years, ReedMitchell owners Seth Mitchell, VP of Strategy, and Jason Reed, VP Creative Director, will assume the role of partners of The Company Dallas. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer Breck Templeton and Executive Creative Director, Josh Okun, will round out The Company partners, which already includes CEO Jose Lozano and Kyle Allen, EVP/Media Director.

“While The Company will still have a national focus, I’m really thrilled to rededicate ourselves to the Houston and Dallas markets, taking leadership roles in the local professional advertising organizations and truly embracing the communities, their trends, people and culture,” said Okun.
